Disclosure
guess it’s time I write this FTC blogging disclosure so I can make sure everything is on the up and up on this blog. As of December 1st 2009, I’m required to disclose that I may be getting paid at times for the material I write on Richard-Williams.biz
I don’t sell too much stuff on this blog. Most of the time I just write about my random experiences and such. That may change in the future, but the primary use of this blog is to write about my life, offer advice and discuss the interesting people I meet.
However, I am required to tell you that any time you click on a link on this website, there is a decent chance that I may be paid if you buy a product on the other end. For the sake of argument, lets just assume that I get paid on EVERY link you see on this website.
At times, I receive free gear for blogging about particular products. At times I get free dinners from vendors who want to wine and dine me. And at other times women throw their panties on the stage when I speak.
Okay, so I made that last one up. But please don’t hesitate to fling those undergarments if you feel inclined to do so ladies. Dudes, keep the tighty whities on please.
The bottom line is this, I do participate in affiliate marketing and I am a blogger. When I talk about a product, I often have a affiliate link attached to that product. When someone buys that product, I get paid. It’s that simple.
According to the new law from the FTC, I need to disclose this to you.
That said, I don’t promote bulls**t or accept money or gifts to skew my opinions EVER! I tell the truth about each and every product (sometimes my opinions get me in trouble) and cannot be bought to say something nice about your product or service.
Personally I think these new rules are a bit rubbish, but hey, I understand why they exist. The FTC is trying to protect the consumer because god knows they can’t protect themselves. And yeah, there are a ton of affiliate scum marketers out there.
So be careful about what you buy and who you buy from. Remember that when you buy stuff that I talk about on this blog or anywhere else, I get paid. (Preferably not in Pesos or IOU’s)
Last but not least, I promise not to spend all of the money I make on a West Ham Season Tickets (because after this season it would be a complete waste!),
Cheers,
Richard Williams

Hi Richard, just been on your site. I like your approach to training and support on helping people to get started online. I am dabbling a little with cpa’s, making a little profit but would like to learn more about expanding my online empire. Im guessing your are doing joint ventures?
Anyway, drop me an email when you get time and let me know what your doing and how I can get involved with you and Alex.
Many thanks
Tony

Hello Richard,
You are obviously a clued up and very smart guy and through receiving your regular newsletters, which I really do appreciate, I have come to respect and trust you. As I understand it, please forgive me if I’m wrong, your main income is through the promotion of Netbiz! What I would like to know is what proportion of your online income comes from selling Netbiz products as opposed to recruiting people to purchase Netbiz training? Of course I understand that professional training is required in order to become knowledgeable and proficient in any new field of endeavour and I would be prepared to purchase that. The problem that I believe, or imagine, I would encounter in promoting the Netbiz training, if that is your main income stream, is that I do not possess the obvious people and copywriting skills, or confidence and charisma for that matter, that you so obviously posses and exude.
Simply put, if the main opportunity that you’re offering is promoting Netbiz training as opposed to Netbiz products and I’m still not sure what they are, I don’t feel that I could promote it anywhere near as effectively as you do using your methods because it’s simply not in my nature or, if I’m honest, my inclination to do so because what would I be promoting? The opportunity to recruit others to follow in my footsteps by buying training and to what ultimate end? Blogs, Newsletters, et al, I could manage or learn to do with help from you and your partner, but to offer and promote the opportunity to enrol others to follow my lead by selling them Netbiz training I don’t think I could or would want to do that.
Having re-read this, I still don’t think I have put my enquiry or concern very well, but it will have to suffice for now. Please get back to me Richard as I will look forward to hearing from you.
My regards,
Russell
